As I remember from the conversation with my insurance agent (in California).
To get full coverage, you must have the truck apraised by a agreed-upon professional. Once the value has been determined, the rate will be set accordingly. He said cost for the appraisal was about $250. This seemed a bit much so I got daily driver liability-only coverage for mine for $126 per 6 months. Talk to your agent, I'm sure he knows. Good Luck
