How do you get the steering box off of the shaft without removing the shaft. I already have the pitman arm shaft gear assembly out and the plate that holds the worm gear in the box. Is the worm gear attached to the shaft somehow. ps. bearings look worn and there is a broken spring that goes to something. and metal shavings every where not to mention sludge galour. Should there be white grease in there also. pss. Vintage powerwagon doesnt have another box or a rebuild kit either. Thanks for any help.
Should I buy anoter column and box with power steering. What will work inplace of the old.
