It sounds just like the WW II 12 volt 55 ampere generators installed as original equipment in the WC 3/4 ton 12 volt trucks, meaning all command cars, carryalls and some late war (1944-45) WC51-52 weapon carriers. The 1/2 ton VC and WC radio command cars were 12 volts, too, but I do not know whether they used the identical generator as the 3/4 ton WCs. If you use it, you should get a WW II 12 volt 55 ampere voltage regulator to control it. Check with the WW II Dodge parts suppliers in Supply Line or Military Vehicles magazines.
