Those are the model identifications but NOT the numbers that would be stamped on the block. ONLY the higher number was used on the block to identify the year of the block. Example; there are NO, repeat NO, P-11, P-17, P-19 block numbers...they ALL will be stamped P-12, P-18, P-20, and so forth....

Hope this will clarifyt the numbering of ENGINE BLOCKS.
