The "P" indicates it is a Plymouth block, which is usually a 218, and a 218 was stock for the P18 series. If it was in a Dodge it is possible they used the Dodge 230 crank and rods. Check the number of flywheel bolts on the crank. 4 is a 218 and 8 is usually a 230. The blocks are identical.
