If its like the modern tanks it's a lock ring.
Tap on any 1 of the tabs to rotate the ring counter clock wise.
Use a non metel or brass punch so as not to create any chance of sparks.
Once the ring is off the unit can be removed,should be a rubber o-ring gasket under the unit.
