Fuel tank sending unit

Hi I was looking for some guidance on how to remove the fuel tank sending unit located on top of the tank. Looks like there are 3 tabs on the tank that you need to rotate the unit around to match in order to get it out. Any tips on how to do this with out breaking anything.
