"Not sure if you are required to have a CDL over 26,000 if it's personal use or not."

That is a quote from my post. So I did not say you needed one in any way. I said I didn't know but when you push over that limit you will likely get questioned.

I drive commercial truck part time pulling 48', 53' and A train trailers. I have been across OR and WA scales hundreds of times in the last 40 years. My brother many more times and neither of us have really had a problem. They are doing there job just like you and I and if you go in with an attitude that's exactly what you get back.

I'm not saying you don't get a jerk off once in a while but my experience shows me that if I treat them like I want to be treated I will generally come out OK. And yes, I have gotten a citation a few times but not one of them was unjustified. I got one last summer at the Woodburn scale for not having correct permits. That was my boss's fault but the ticket was justified. They actually would not have given me one but this was the third time this had happened. I could tell you of several other times I could have been cited for something and was not. I have to believe it's because I act decent to them. I do happen to know they are in charge and if I did get a ticket I should not have gotten, I would fight it in court not with the scale guy.
