the WW2 WS 54 ambulances are solidly mounted with 14 bolts. I used to offroad one and never had much flex in the body. on my WC53 Carryall it was monted solidly with 10 bolts and the body flex was horrible even on a speed bump. one reason i sold the vehicle. But the Carryall body was really jsut an automotive station wagon thrown on a 1 ton chassis. the ambulance bodies were purposie built and much heavier too. I have neve looked at the M43 mounting. could have springs like an open cab?
