hey all, got the truck back from the muffler shop late yesterday, went to work on it this morn at 7:oo got the fill tube vent rerouted to the breather as it should have been in the first place. took the donalson valve out of the system and plugged the manifold, started the truck and set the idle, everythings fine now. now at the vice and two sockets to take the valve apart. it does have some parts in it although it is open both ways. there is a cone shaped spring loaded check valve w/a small piece of wire with a loop on the end going thru the center of the valve. is there something gone from the valve? seems to me that the engine would have to make lots of vaccum to make the valve work any at all, and then it still would be open even when closed? as this my first donalson valve I don't know what it is supposed to look like inside, but I don't think mine is right. Dave.
