This truck has been up for sale for a while, it has a horrible title, and a search for 1957 W100 would not pull it up, neither would a search for 1957 Power Wagon, as the seller has used the term '57 instead of 1957. Anyone who has tried to search has learned that 57 is too common of a term to use, you get to many results. Also if you did find this truck you might think (as I did) that it might be a 1957 2wd body on a later chassis. I E-mailed the seller and unlike a lot of sellers of trucks on Craig's List he actually wrote back, sent me larger images, and with a little prompting sent me the VIN and a WB measurement. So now I know it is a 1957 V8 W100 chassis, the wheel base he said was "about 10 feet" which would make it a 116" or a long wheelbase W100. The pictures show 2wd front fenders, which now we know are replacements, and the rear axle is a full floater, which would only be correct in a W200, so that is also a replacement. This is the sort of info that would be useful to share with the forum, and if someone took the time to figure all that out, or go visit the truck in person, it would be nice to have a place to share that info so anyone else interested could find it.

Okay, enough rambling. Is that the sort of thing you were thinking Gary??

Eric
