The hardest thing on any turbo charger is the start up and shut down . when you start a engine the turbo is some what starving for oil until oil pressure gets there in the mean time the turbo is really spinning ditto on shut down . some engines now are equiped with a pre lube before start up and there are after market add ons available i like the idea . second the turbo is not a fan of dirt
any particles that get in there start to make the turbo spin off balance and prematurely wears out bearings > on all equipment you should CHECK EVEY AIR INTAKE connection and filter and filter mounting to be sure the engine isnt sucking unfiltered air > it only take 8 ounces of dust to destroy a mill thats a mason jar (quart size ) ~ Copey learned tah at jesse cummins school 19 73
