I used 1/4" fine all thread. As I recall, I bent it just a bit to keep it from rubbing, making sawing noises when operating.
21° seems familiar for the 'bezels'. Need them inside and out, and I used Vul-Kem polyurethane sealer/glue to hold them in place. I made them perpendicular to the windshield glass. Made out of aluminum pipe.
The shafts on your site look like they may be smaller diameter? Mine needed about 11/16" holes? Metric, I think. I made the holes bigger towards the top, to get more room at the bottom inside. Hole size is the major down side, everything else I did is bolt on. Making holes smaller on a finished truck would be a PITA, need to touch up the paint.
