Long before the ethanol in gasoline kick, we put alcohol in our fuel tanks in the form of Dry Gas to eliminate water. The alcohol being miscible with water, bonded and stayed in solution. Eventually, slugs of the alcohol/water were drawn thru the fuel system and burned in the engine. I have used dry gas in my gas vehicles since 1957 as have 100's of 1000's of others. I dont remember any detrimental effects back then. Its my belief that we are being fed CHEAP gasoline, without all the good additives of years gone by. And I believe its going to get worse, with even cheaper gasoline.
