I would first jack up the rear end, spin the wheels and see what the drive shaft does, then pull the axle shaft on the side on which the wheel spins without any effect on the drive shaft or the other wheel. Most likely, you broke an axle shaft. The good thing is that with the a full-floating axle assembly, it's easy to pull the shaft out. Just unbolt it from the hub and pull. It's a lot easier than the 1/2-ton axle like I have on my Sno-Cats. At that point, you may be looking at fishing out the broken end of the shaft, or tearing into the differential, but at least you'll have a pretty good idea what's wrong.
