1964 W200 Steering Gear Adjustment

The 1964 has the "death wobble" pretty bad. New springs and shocks failed to help. Ball joints seem good, but the steering gear is very loose and I think is causing the problem.

Does anybody know if these can be "tightened"? If so, how?
