caster in the tipping of the wheel fore and aft meaning the top of the suspension is forward of the bottom ( / ), just like a shopping cart front wheel it always trys to come back to a straight position . that is why we have caster ,camber is the inward or outward tipping of the wheel either positive or negative looking at the front of the truck the tires will look like this / \ or like this \ / toe in usually a minimal for example is 1/8 of inch . Were i see a problem on light medium duty trucks is the way the suspension is built .ever since independent suspension became the norm on trucks .the nature is that the wheels arc up and down during normal driving .The arcing of the wheels constantly will change the camber angle which effects were on the outter edges of the tire . the truck (stock weight) is what alignment is usually set for on a light duty (up to one ton) When you load the truck and run it loaded most of the time caster which is a negative setting changes dramatically when the rear of the truck goes down and the caster almost becomes a positive angle .Same for camber when the truck is loaded if you look the wheels are can actually see the wheels tipping in at the top .virtually all the necessary angles to insure proper alignment and proper control of the vehicle are not in the range of the alignment specifications and hence the problem . This has been a issue in light truck front ends since the beginning independent suspension was used on light trucks ~ Copey
