Jerry:

I had air bags on the previous F350 and do not like them. I will never go to that option again.

What I failed to mention on my F350 is that I had the rear overloads redone. When I said stock in my post I was referring to the truck height and front suspension. I spaced out on the work done on the rear axle.

FORD has stock overloads that do not come into contact until the truck has gone down 3 to 4 inches which means that your arse is dragging and you are wallowing through bumps. I was surprised that this was still true with the dually. I put the camper on the truck when it was brand new and went to the best spring shop in the area. I told them I wanted it to sit level with the camper on plus be able to handle another 1000 lbs of tongue weight. They left the rear main springs as they were. They replaced the single FORD overload with a 5 spring pack. The new overloads contact at about 1 1/2 inches which leaves the unloaded/partially loaded ride unaffected. The loaded ride is definitely harsher but really nice when I have the trailer with load levelers on the back. The truck sits perfectly level with the camper on it. I just recently measured it and there was only 1/8 inch difference between the front and back of the bed to the ground. I also made several other measurements which confirm that it is level. The truck has close to 4000 lbs on the front axle and under 9000 lbs on the rear duals. This is very consistent as I often visit closed weigh stations in Oregon to check with and with out the trailer attached and how much I have in the camper (water and etc).
