I would not use a lo jack. Simple reason it requires that the police have the equipment to track the car. There are several gps based systems that do not require any equipment by the police beyond their laptop. They can log into your account for your car and track its movements if someone steals it. I have an advanced system on my carryall that works really good. It is made by a Canadian company and is not too expensive to buy and the monitoring fee is $50 a year. I also have a gps unit on my dog. same type of monitoring service. I got it for him because he will bolt on fireworks or thunder and we have spent too may hours tracking him down. Now I just go to a web site to see where he is and go get him.

All the new units are 12 volts so there is an issue with a 6 volt truck. I am planning on putting one in my 6V PW along with ARB Lockers. I will put a separate 12 volt system in the truck for those things. I will simply get a 12 volt motorcycle battery and wire in the gps and the ARB pump to it. Then I will use one of the battery maintainer chargers that you can buy at most auto parts stores. I will just need to make sure that I plug it in from time to time to keep the battery up.
