fuel pumps

this is for the Dodge Boys, the place I got my headers from, recomend a electric fuel pump for multiple carb set-up's, I would rather not have one of the things on my truck if I can help it. the truck won't ever see anything over 3400rpm. It does't seem to me that at that low of revs the mechcanial pump should pump plenty. is there an alternate to an electric? 230cuin fh in a ffpw. Dave.
