For my '52 PW I bought angle strips from Mar-K, no problem. Item # 100246, I ordered them in 2006. I think you got the wrong person there.
I selected the steel angle strips as they had to be spot welded to the bed sides and I painted them the body color.
I chose polished stainless strips for between the boards, item #100221. For the bed bolts I used item #130265.
Be careful when installing the angle strips, the angle strips for around the wheel well "look" interchangeable, but they are definitely NOT.
