No, tire pressure like you are running is not going to cause that. Are the tires balanced? Out of balance will cause cupping.
The edge wear seems like a problem I have seen when the axles are bent, or a trailer is out of alignment and not pulling straight.
These are just a few of things to look at, but with trailer tires, there can be lots of other things go wrong.
I am almost sure it is not caused by 2PSI of tire pressure.
