I have been watching this post and still have not made up my mind. I am not going to build a factory class truck.
OK, what about 9.00-16" on combat rims vs 7.50-16" on 1/2 ton split rings on a WC-12 1/2 ton?
My 1941 WC-12 seams to be geared low enough to pull the bigger wheel/tire combo. I have been on the fence about running the stock size 7.50's on stock wheels, or running 9.00's on either the M-37 or combat rims.
My truck is totally original stock (everything needs rebuilt) with the 218" motor. I do have a donor civilian 230" car motor I may consider to save a few $$$.
The bigger tires cost a lot more. Are they worth the money and the extra stress on the stock drive line?

thanks for any input,
Kent
