I would say it's all the Mystery oil, having just done this myself a month or so ago.
Now I've lost spark... so I'll have to track that down, but I did the same thing you did, MM oil in each cylinder, turn it over occasionally, then when it did fire she SMOKED BAD! BUT - just for a while. I'd say if it keeps smoking after several fire-ups, you might want to look more into that.
