Guarantees are becoming meaningless

I worked at an O'Reilly's in high school, and had been pretty loyal (to the tune of 20 years and I don't even want to know how many thousands of dollars) to them until recently.

1. I'm disappointed that the parts don't last. It's no fun replacing parts, even when they are warranteed.

2. It's a bad sign when they no longer offer a lifetime guarantee, but one year or less.

3. They increasingly resist honoring warrantees even with the mountain of receipts I've saved.

4. Increasingly, they have to order the parts I need instead of stocking them.

5. The worst part is, staff are often incompetent or they lack a system to actually get the part to the store. Often, I wait days for a part only to find out it was never ordered or was not the right part.
