Because recent upgrades to the LAV also included new wheels, run-flats, and tires, most of the replaced ones have been surplussed out as complete assemblies. You can invest sweat or money to get the tires dismounted and reuse the tires on other rims with proper inner tubes and flaps - or you can use the adapters and retain the run-flats.
You might want to check with someone who has dismounted XL tires from LAV wheels and removed the run-flats.
