Sorry, this is about Ford 2002 F250 with a 5.4 engine and automatic transmission. With it having close to 65k miles on it. I took it to the local Ford dealer to have some PM done. One thing i had done was a transmission flush. Just the flush no filter change. This is where the problem started. When I picked up the truck I noticed right away the trans temp gauge was already at the half way mark and the coolant showed no reading. I thought this was odd because it had been about 6 hours since the called me to pickup the truck. So, I would think that would be enough time for the trans fluid to cool off since the engine coolant was. I went in and asked the service guy and he said it is just really hot outside. I am not buying it! I took it home and it sat over night and the gauge still shows the same reading right away the next morning. I have never notice this happen even when it is really hot outside. I am not sure what to do since the dealer seems to be blowing me off. Any ideas? Are they right and I am nuts? Thanks for any help or ideas.
