What a loaded question! have you restored anything before? If you have, you may know your limitations in what you see. Get underneath it and poke around the floor, if it looks good from the top, defineltly check the bottom! Check the frame for heavy rust that peals off in huge chips. Check if it is bent, especially near the area where the frame and the cab meet,as well as the box. There will most likely be oil everywhere, it's typical. It all depends on how the truck was used, who took care of it (and drove it)and how it has been stored. I've done trucks that should have been donors, so the most important thing is check your bank account. Hope you have a good find and not many issues!
