M, I think maybe Milo could be on to something, I was freshing up a 426 hemi once upon a time and found a .003 under HALF in a standard box, the other half in the same box was standard like it was supposed to be. the brand was federal mogel, so I have never ran anything but klevite since! it's rare but strange things like that do happen. hope your truck is alright, what you did sounds alright to me, I see no problem there, so it has to be a mismarked part, or heaven forbid a missing part(I've done that too!) anyway don't run the truck until you find the noise.
