Not sure if I'm right, but I put mine so that the shaft is it's longest goin to the rear, slips at the rear ends.

Thought being, as it happened to me in a four wheel drive fire engine, goin down the hiway at 60 mph, if the driveshaft comes off or out of the slip for some reason, it won't wnat to dig in to the pavement. The shaft will flop like crazy, but the shorter slips won't hit the pavement.

It happened to two of our four wheel drive engines, one wrecked bad, almost killed all four on board. My truck driving experience kept me calm and I stayed on the road. Kept the engine in good enough condition to allow the investigators to find out what the problem was on all four wheel drives, statewide.

So, I have mine driveshafts to the front, slips to the rear. Not sure if thats the way they SHOULD go.....but its how mine are goin!

For the intermediate, mine is slip to the transfer case. Again, not sure if its right, but ...

Nick
