The Cummins shop manual directs;
Before starting any engine that has been sitting a long time, remove the fuel selinoid
wire so it cant start. Then crank the engine until you see oil pressure. Also remove the high pressure oil line going to the turbo. Inject some oil directly into the turbo oil fitting. Then start. I pre lube as described, but have never had a engine sit do long I was really worried. I do pre lube the turbo.
