Wrist pins and their pistons are the tightest tolerance joint in any engine. It's why they come as a set. And you are having a hard time finding them loose. We are talking tens of millions of an inch. I don't know, maybe you have the high precision grinder in your back yard?

The fit is "you can push it into the piston with your thumb. barely". Then, when the engine gets running, the piston expands and the pin loosens up enough to allow oil clearance. As opposed to rod and mains, which are 1 1/2 to 3 thousandths clearance.
