Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Previous mechanic must have lost the studs and put 2 bolts in. That means the torque won't be right since the given torque spec will result in less tension in a coarse thread (bolt) than in a fine thread (stud nut), and they'll be more likely to come loose. One of them stripped out and was helicoiled, which reminds me I should have put sealer on the new helicoil before I screwed it in. It's too late now.
