You have hit it right D! The pressures down there are really great. Its at the bottom of the ocean. You got currents moving about plus the PSI of the leak. Robots being controlled by looking into small tv's via little camera's at best makes it difficult. The idea of taking the bolts off and removing the valve and then bolt another one down in its place sounds like a great idea but I bet you would never get the new piece back down on the well with the PSI coming out. Like trying to put a fire hose on a hydrant thats turned on. A guy on another forum I am on has worked those rigs and says the PSI is so great that it can make things disappear in no time flat.


Those Mars robots are not trying to control anything they are themselves controlled.
