i used a socket as mentioned to install the top and bottom bearings and used a split bearing tool to remove the old ones. i used an aluminum 'drift' to install the inner axle tube bushing. my drift is actually a tractor trailer axle seal installer that was turned down to center itself on the inner bushing and apply equal pressure during install.
