I am redoing one right now and am putting power steering, power windows power 4 wheel disc brakes, and ac/heat/defrost in it. My chassis and axles are blasted waiting for bearings to come in. I am returning the truck to zero hours and adding a 4BT Cummings and five speed with 205 transfer case. I had to rebuild the rear cross member under the bed but besides that the frame was in good shape. I wouldn't think you would need to upgrade the frame for limited use. I would however recommend power brakes if your daughter is going to drive it, or you for that matter.
