It's probably a civilian then, as I think a green primer was used back then also. It also has the chrome hood ornament and grill pieces, I thought they might have been added on later but probably not. The truck appears to be all one color (red) were the fenders, bottom 1/2 of the grill and running boards usally black? What motor would it have? 218, 230, 241, 251, 0r 255? It appears to be all original, it has a really neat turn siginal setup, where you pull a lever in the cab and through a series of cables and pulleys, a marker arrow on the side of the cab rotates 45 degerees up to point which way you are turning!
