Today I decided to play hookie from work and cruise the wrecking yards in the local area and found six Powerwagons of all different years and I didnt even get to all the yards I wanted to!! I did find two flatfender type, they look like they are from the 50s???? Located in Antelope California, on a road named Roseville rd. Also found an extra cab that is in pretty good shape and the others were 70 series wagons in different conditions. Found a Chrysler Sebring with no dents in the body but also no interior, saw an old Packard with the fins and the cool glass dome over the instrument guages and the push button shifter hahah, I chatted with the guy that has the old flatfenders, they are not in the wrecking yard they are at a fence company yard and he said he may sell if he gets the right deal,,,hmmmm I also found one Dodge truck with the duel headlights that looks like the 500 body style but its a 100 1965 and I think I will buy that one,, It has the old industrial 318 with a stick trans which I forgot to look at, the cab is dentless and rust free, all glass, all interior, chassis but no drums or wheels and tires, and no bed. That body style has a name but I cant remember it, CSS or CST or I guess I need help with that one. $400.00 and it goes home,,, anyone think its worth it??? Anyone need parts??? Its got sorta a high cut front fender style that I liked. O ya I also found an old split hood two wheel drive truck that was cherry excepy someone got the head off of the straight six flathead, a very cherry body looked like a 48 or???sorta bulgy bubbly front fenders split windshield and portal window in the cab like a 5 window cab,,it was pretty cool and the bed was so cherry, the whole thing was perfect. I think I will guit my job and just cruise the yards for fun........Britt in Cool.
