If I were in your situation I'd have a spring shope build a set with front spring rate 30 or even 40% softer than original but with loaded height about 1.5-2" higher than original (unloaded arch might be up to 4" more than original); rears perhaps 20-30% softer than original, with loaded arch 1-1.5" taller, and overload pack on top quite stiff but about 2" from engaging with bed empty. There's no reason for the ride to be as stiff as it is.
