Walt,
I'm doing a frame up resto on a 48 B1PW and so far I have sand blasted and applied POR-15 to raw metal on wheels, hubs, diff housings, springs, spring mounts and frame.
I have had guys come into my shop and ask if these parts have been powder coated. I beat on one of the springs hangers to get it in a position that I could put the bolt thru it and it didn't even chip the POR-15.
I have applied another of there products that will protect it from the UV rays at the places I feel need it, (outside of wheels, etc).
I am planning on using it under my fenders and in the complete engine compartment.
I couldn't be happier than I'm am with this product.
Good luck,
Randy Baker
