Flathead engine longevity

I was wondering what kind of mileage you fellow Power Wagon owners have gotten out of your flathead engines(i.e., how long did they last before needing a rebuild). One person I spoke with (who works with Power Wagons frequently) indicated that most Power Wagons he has come across only show about 25,000 miles with a worn out engine, so he figures most flatheads only go for about 25,000 miles in a Power Wagon. This seems like an awfully short life to me, but then I figure that in a Power Wagon that's worked the way they were designed to work, most of the time is probably spent in second or maybe third gear, and under heavy load. This amounts to a lot of hours of use, with relatively few miles showing on the odometer.

I'm just curious to find out how many miles some of you have achieved.

Matt
