Roy,
As Allen said, the 251 (25.5 in) is about 2.5 inches longer than the 230 (23 in). My '46 WDX has a 251 in it that I did not do but I have noticed the following.
1. The Radiator is mounted on the forward side of its mounting brackets instead of the back side. Clearance holes were cut in the mount to allow access to the bolts. This gives almost 3 inches of extra space under the hood. This also puts the rad very close to the rear winch support if equipped.
2. Some of the holes in the floor board have been enlarged about a 1/4 in to the rear; pedals, shifters, PTO lever. This may just be sloppy work or perhaps a bit of clearance was needed.
