Thanks for the info, Paul. As for the metallurgical degradation of your 54-year-old PW, speaking as an engineer, I think the only things you really need to worry about are fatigue of components that may be highly overloaded on a frequent basis, and of course corrosion. I think generally Power Wagons are sufficiently overdesigned so that fatigue is not much of a problem. Most commons alloys used in automotive applications don't degrade with time, although I once had a professor who tried to tell me otherwise. Every metallurgist I've spoken to since then has disagreed with this professor's standpoint.

Anyway, thanks again for the info. I know you are not too far from me (I live just northeast of Ft. Worth). I will have to come visit one of these days, and check out your multitude of PW's.
