first thing off I would check the fuel supply for a plug in an inline Filter ,crimped lines, plugged fuel bowl or even a bad gasket on the fuel bowl. Also look around the carberator base gasket and float bowl gasket for leaks. If this doesn't lead you to any answers then I would suggest removing the carberator and inspecting the fuel float level. For some reason this engine is loosing the fuel that is supposed to be in the float bowl for startup and acceleration "kind of like loosing its prime"
The last thing I would do is to keep using Eather. Continued use of Eather can lead to a lot of problems including blowing a hole in a piston or blowing a head gasket. Eather Increases the compresson in each cylinder thus putting more pressure on the internals.
