I have a couple of 413-3 engines out of class A motor homes. They were cast heavier around the crank. The crank is forged. They had sodium filled valves and hardened valve seats. The other differences between these engines and truck and car engines are all outside: Front sump oil pan, timing cover that mounts water pump higher, and brackets to mount p.s.pump and alt above engine. 413's used the same exhaust manifolds as pickups, 440's in class A's had runners that stood out about 6" from heads. The class C engine may not have needed the hi-mount water pump, and there was more room on the sides for the pump and alt. If you have a -3 engine it should be stamped "440-3" on the boss where the numbers are.
