I have two saws, both stihl. One is an 051 for the big stuff and the other is an 015. I bought the 51 in 78 and 15 I cannot remember. But both have cut a lot of wood and served me well. I sharpen them with a hand file that is in a guide. Every so often the rakes get clipped, according to the qauge. After each job the bar is removed from each saw cleaned and lubricated. The saw is also cleaned, along with the filters. Both these saws are still in excellent condition. The dealer that I purchased them from told me to always use Stihl 2 stroke oil in the fuel. Also to use the stihl 2 stroke oil in all my 2 stroke engins and it will extend the life of the motor as it is the best on the market. JUdging by the service that I have gotten from the saws I am a believer. LOL.
