Just got my first pics of the 2nd and 3rd series bedside tooling. I can't wait till I video that huge press turning a flat sheet into something we can use.Looks like the 2nd series pockets will be finished first in a few days(1-10?). Bed tooling probably in 2 weeks.They were suppose to be finished april 15th. Well? Did'nt happen.
Also the 2nd and 3rd series angle strips will be stamped to original specs, I will not stamp them in galvaneal they will be just cold rolled clean 18 gauge like originals,WHY. IF you ever spot welded that crap you would know.The tooling will be long enough to make the strips for the utiline guys too and they will be cheap!!! considering.
The small L bracket that fits inside the rear second series pockets with the nuts welded on the backside is also being reproduced to exact specs.
What else is new? Probably rocker panels and door skins, door skins hand made, rockers stamped
Rear fenders on hold for a few months, tooling is killing me
