After cutting the tubing and reaming the ID for burs, I take a fine file and just 'love'
the OD where it was cut. Then plenty of lube, I use brake fluid. Once you get the hang of it, you can turn out flares with ease and no errors.

One important thing. Some people like to put a tiny copper crush washer between the flare and seat to prevent leaks. DONT DO IT. These flare joints are not designed for crush washers. This is a band aid for a bad job.
