MU2 on an M37

I'm thinking about my next project, putting together a really good M37 from the pieces of 3 parts trucks. The one with the good body and frame has winch extensions and a winch bumper but at some point the winch was removed and a big channel section was welded across the gap. I can probably cut that out and grind it smooth so it will be a good winch bumper. None of the parts trucks has a winch, but I have another running truck, a rusty, ugly Wittenberg conversion M37 that I use for odd jobs on my place, hauling wood, etc, that has an MU2 on it. I think the main things Wittenberg did were to put their ugly but convenient fiberglass hood/fender contraption on the truck and put a civilian winch on. The winch appears to be complete including the parts that usually break or get lost, but I haven't tried it. I don't have an LU4 laying around. I have a spare 10,000 lb Garwood but it's too big.

My question is will an MU2 winch fit right onto the mounting holes and spacing of an M37? I want this M37 to be as stock as possible so I don't want to weld the winch onto it like the guy did with my other M37 that I was working on last winter. If I can bolt on an adapter plate of some sort, that might work, but I don't want to weld on the winch, the frame, or the bumper. If the mounting matches, then I'll have a good working winch and if I ever stumble across an LU4, I can just swap them out. I'd just go measure them, but the trucks are on the other side of the mountain and the pass is still full of snow.
