I´m not sure they had a lot to do with it. More like Chrysler chose them and they got lucky and then started chopping. Way back in the day when a dealer told me they were moving their wm operations to Mex., I thought it was kind a cool and got all excited and thought we would continue to see ff. I thought hell I´d just drive th Puerto for a surf and pick up a brand new Mexican flat fender on the way back. Little did I know is that they soon canned the running gear and opted for some mex israeli designed sheetmetal and the ff was history.
